Rabbi Simcha Bunim, from the 1800’s said  everyone should have two pockets, with a note in each pocket.  When one is feeling powerless, depressed, a failure or discouraged, reach into the right pocket, and, there, find the words: “The world was created for me.”  But when feeling proud, brilliant and in charge reach into the left pocket, and find the words:  “I am but dust and ashes.”
